Former RIOT Singer To Perform At JOEY RAMONE BIRTHDAY BASH

Former RIOT singer Tony Moore (info) will be playing bass for THE SLASHTONES (also featuring former BLACK LACE drummer Steve "Budgie" Werner) when they perform at the Joey Ramone Birthday Bash on May 19 at Irving Plaza in New York City. Also appearing on the bill will be THE DICKIES, SUPERSUCKERS and BEBE BUELL, among others. All proceeds will go to the Lymphoma Fund.

Moore has spent the past year writing songs with RIOT guitarist Mike Flyntz in a new project called FAITH AND FIRE. The band, who also feature in their ranks drummer John Miceli (RAINBOW, MEAT LOAF),are hard at work on their debut album, tentatively due later this year through an as-yet-undisclosed label. A demo version of the track "Ready" is available for download at this location. Other songs set to appear on the album include "Accelerator", "Fallen", "Villanelle", "Faith And Fire" and "Angel".
